About the Event

The Arizona English Teachers Association, your state affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of

English, is excited to have Kelly Gallagher, a veteran teacher and researcher and leading voice in literacy

education, as our keynote speaker for the 2021 AETA Conference. Kelly’s research into the teaching of

reading and how to make reading energizing and exciting for our students, along with the events of 2020

and 2021, inspired this year’s conference theme: Forging a New Path. His work centers students’ love

for literacy and how to grow that, encouraging all of us to engage in practices that energize our students

and build their love for literacy. We hope you’ll join us in learning with him at this year’s conference!

Lunch is NOT INCLUDED this year. We will have local AZ food trucks on site. However, the first 50 registrants will get the $10 lunch voucher.
